Edwin Tuts' keen attention to detail and his quest for perfection have made it possible for this self-taught artist to pursue a successful career in fine art.
Tuts was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1969. At an early age, he displayed an artistic talent that was encouraged by his parents throughout his childhood. For hours at a time, he would watch his artist mother as she painted. After moving to Edmonton, Alberta, with its majestic mountains and beautiful lake shores, his youthful love and respect for nature intensified.

As he began to paint the natural world, it all connected for him. "I get inspired by nature because I see the beauty of God in all of it," he explains. "Painting also inspires me because my real inspiration comes from God." Over the years, he further developed his gifts as an artist, painting a variety of subjects including wildlife, figures, family portraits, landscapes and inspirational scenes. He studied the works of great artists from the Renaissance to the modern period.
Influenced by his favorite artists, including Albert Bierstadt, Frederick Edwin Church and Leonardo daVinci, Tuts experimented with different mediums, techniques and styles before finding his niche. By 1992, he began selling his originals to collectors, and in 1995, Tuts won the Alberta Duck Stamp competition for Ducks Unlimited.

Soft-spoken and down-to-earth, his serious nature is balanced by his sense of humor. Through his continued support of many worthy causes and his love of painting, Tuts hopes to inspire others by making the world a brighter and more colorful place to live. His work has garnered several awards and numerous honors and is included in many private and corporate collections worldwide
